"Cory's Kidz" is a program that has been created with the purpose of giving our community the
opportunity to make a child's life better. It was created to honor the memory of Wheeling's Cory Kalisz.
Cory
Our lives can be forever changed in the blink of an eye. For our family, it happened with the devastating loss of our son. In an effort to survive Christmas and Cory's birthday, we decided to enhance the lives of children by shopping for them. The first Christmas, we shopped for "7" children which was Cory's favorite number. On his birthday, August 24, we provided school supplies and clothing for "7" children. God increased our giving the second Christmas and opened the door for us to provide a program that would allow the community to share in blessing and making memories for children. We know this is a program that Cory would love. We can all be a blessing to someone in need.

News
The response to Cory's Kidz has been overwhelming, and we send out a huge "thank you" to everyone who has stepped forward to help us succeed in our back-to-school shopping for children. We have been able to match wonderful people with a heart for giving with children who need help.
At least 100 volunteers offered to help provide for 130 children with their back-to-school needs. Others donated money or school supplies which will be used all year long as we replenish the supplies. The children were excited as they picked up their backpacks, clothing, and supplies. Our goal is to help these children start off school with a positive feeling.
As we finished up with back-to-school items, our minds were immediately focused on Christmas shopping for children. Please see more information about our Christmas Program and see how you can get involved.
Our family is very appreciative of the support that has been received through "Cory's Kidz." We continue to know that our son, Cory, would be so happy with this program knowing that children in need are being helped.
