About Cory KaliszCory was born in Wheeling, WV, on August 24, 1981. He came into this world full of life and continued with that spirit until the end on September 6, 2006. His sense of humor was contagious, and his hearty laugh is missed tremendously. Cory loved his family, was a loyal friend, and a Christian by faith. Sports were a big part of Cory's life. He was active in soccer, baseball, basketball and hockey throughout his lifetime. He spent many summers working with children as a lifeguard and camp counselor. Cory graduated from WVU in 2005 with a degree in accounting. His dream of attending law school led him to Cal Western Law School in San Diego, California. In August of 2006, Cory made the cross country trip with a fellow classmate to begin law school. On September 5th, Cory was about to leave for class when his car wouldn’t start. He borrowed a friend’s bike and headed out. Almost at the trolley station, Cory was hit by a car. The trauma to his brain was too severe, and ultimately on September 6th, Cory passed away. Whether you knew Cory from birth, Wheeling, WVU or maybe even just a few weeks at law school, he had the ability to impact your life in a way you’ll never forget. While these are all in the past, it’s important to make sure Cory lives on forever. Making wonderful memories for children is the perfect memorial to Cory who had a childlike, joyous quality that made those around him love life as much as he did. |
